Boulle side cabinet with columns stamped DIEHL

DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Napoléon III period side cabinet with two detached columns adorned with 'asperges' and 'lingotières', rich ornamentation of gilt bronzes with 'lingotières', spandrels, Corinthian capitals on the columns, rings, and floral motifs on the sides.
It is above all the marquetry that impresses on this cabinet, with a full door adorned with a muse surrounded by swirling cherubs, flowers, foliage, scrolls, and beautifully engraved brass parts. Double framing fillets.

It is stamped in two places by the famous house of Diehl in Paris.
