Bow-fronted Boulle marquetry cabinet

DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Napoleon III period cabinet with two detached columns adorned with 'asperges' and 'lingotières', rich ornamentation of gilt bronzes including 'lingotières', spandrels, Corinthian capitals on the columns, rings, and motifs on the sides.
It is above all the marquetry that impresses on this cabinet, with a full door adorned with bouquets, swirling interlaces, flowers, rinceaux, volutes, and very fine engraving of the brass parts. Double framing fillets.
The sides are convexly curved, adorned with double 'lingotières' and framed by spandrels.
