Four-column gilt bronze portico clock, Empire Restauration 1810

Four-column portico clock, entirely in mercury-gilt bronze (ormolu); the chasing and decorative details are of truly fine quality. Paris movement, which has been dismantled and cleaned; it works very well, new silk suspension, original pendulum and key available, strikes the hours and half-hours. The enamel dial shows a few discreet hairline cracks and the gilding is slightly rubbed in places, but the whole is in very good condition – dated 1810 on the backplate –
