Desk inkstand in ebonized wood, ornaments in patinated bronze & mercury-gilt bronze. Fitted with 2 crystal inkwells resting on a ring of chased gilt bronze; the cover is in patinated bronze, as are the 2 vases for the quills, the lion paws and the lower base of the vase. Opens at the side with a drawer, mahogany interior
