b350 Two-door Napoleon III Boulle ceremonial cabinet, BEFORT JEUNE

Two-door ceremonial cabinet, Boulle style marquetry with brass fillets and magnificent door panels in brass inlaid with brown tortoiseshell, following the “official” outline of BEFORT cabinet doors, repeated on the canted corners.

Magnificent gilt bronze ornaments, here again in the cabinetmaker’s traditional decorative scheme featuring Xerès & Dionysos: a signature will most probably be found beneath the lingotière bronzes or on the edge of the side uprights. A bronze mount is also present at the centre of the base but is absent from the photos. Black Soignies marble top, interior with 2 shelves.

A two-door model rare on the market, restoration scheduled for December, may be reserved right away
