Rare Napoleon III Boulle marquetry and bronze liqueur cellarette

Large & rare liqueur cellarette, in ebonized wood & Boulle-style marquetry with brass fillets and inlays of brass, red tortoiseshell & mother-of-pearl. Gilt bronze ornaments with mouldings & side handles.
Opens onto a compartmented mahogany interior holding 16 glasses & 4 Baccarat crystal decanters with gilding: a small chip on the neck of one of the decanters should be noted (photo), and the glassware is consistent but of 2 patterns – 11 constellation & 5 floral
The opening system is not the usual folding stay, as the lid is too heavy; you can leave it open on its pivot, but I recommend displaying it either closed or with the lid removed, as in the photos.
Fine proportions for this atypical cellarette of very fine quality
