DESCRIPTION: Very beautiful two-door display cabinet, 'à hauteur d'appui', in Boulle marquetry of brass on a tortoiseshell ground.
Elaborately crafted doors with bronze astragals that follow the scrolling forms.
Fine ornamentation of gilt bronzes with upper and lower chutes, astragals, and motifs on the sides framed by corner mounts. The lower part is highly ornate with a crescent and a mask of Mercury. Interior with two adjustable shelves.
Carrara white marble top.
The bronzes are signed in the casting by the Rudier foundries, and the display cabinet is stamped twice by the house DIEHL a Paris.
