Louis XVI period Boulle bronze ministerial desk

Ministerial desk in ebonized wood, with brass-inlaid wood mouldings underlining the drawers, the sides and the edge of the top. Fine gilt bronze masks as side ornaments; escutcheons, sabots & upper leg rings also in bronze.
Brass fillets run along the uprights, in the Boulle style

2 side slides are fitted & retract when not in use; the front opens with 4 drawers: a large central one, 2 smaller ones on the left side and another, higher one on the right with interior storage. The back of the desk is in trompe l'oeil, repeating the decoration of the front.

As you can see, it awaits a 3-piece covering in imitation leather (included in the price) or genuine cowhide leather for a €300 supplement, from the house of FEY in Paris; colour & gilt motifs to be decided with the future buyer

This is a period Louis XVI desk from the late 18th century, not a later piece in the style; it still has 2 of its 4 original locks, but I will find it extremely difficult to source a key from that period — I can fit 4 19th-century locks with a key if this is a problem.
