Louis XVI ministerial desk, Napoleon III period

Louis XVI style ministerial desk, fine gilt bronze ornaments, brass stringing outlining the drawers and the edges of the top, and fluting on the front and the legs. Quality imitation leather from the house of Fey in Paris has been fitted to the top and the removable pull-out slides. Opens with 4 drawers of 3 different sizes; the right-hand one contains a hidden compartment with lock and key, and 2 further keys are available for the other drawers
Note a few flutes and 2 corners of the brass stringing on the top slightly damaged
